While browsing through the library, Yumehara Nozomi, an ordinary student, stumbles upon a magical book called the Dream Collet. Inside, she meets Coco and Nuts, two inhabitants of the Palmier Kingdom who desperately need her help to rebuild their shattered world, destroyed by the nefarious Nightmares. Their wish requires collecting 55 Pinkies, but with the Nightmares already causing havoc in the real world, time is of the essence. Nozomi agrees to assist and is granted the powers of Cure Dream by Coco and Nuts. Together with four other students, she forms her own team of Pretty Cure to face the looming threat of the Nightmares.
