Under the shimmering veil of night, the elusive Joker, a notorious phantom thief, fearlessly carries out daring heists, targeting one valuable item after the other. Despite the relentless pursuit of high-strung police inspector, Dokusaburou Oniyama, the self-proclaimed "Miracle Maker" repeatedly eludes the authorities with his impressive arsenal of tricks that seamlessly blend both science and magic. During his latest heist, aimed at procuring the much-coveted "Dragon Gem" from the plush mansion of an arrogant millionaire, Joker finds himself crossing paths with a blundering yet enthusiastic ninja named Hachi, who also has set his sights on the same target. Although Hachi adores Joker, the master thief is disinterested in him; nevertheless, the pair team up like a well-oiled machine to seize the gem. Impressed by Hachi's resourcefulness, courage, and domestic capabilities, Joker cautiously takes him under his wing as his mentee. As they set their sights on their next target, Joker and Hachi find themselves clashing with other rival phantom thieves.
