A typical 14-year-old second-year junior high student named Usagi Tsukino is clumsy and emotional. However, everything changes for her when she meets Luna, a black cat who talks and has a crescent moon marking on her head. Luna gives Usagi a magical brooch that can transform her into Sailor Moon, a sailor suit-wearing magical girl whose mission is to protect love and peace. As a protector of justice, Usagi sets out to find the powerful Silver Crystal and unite with the other Sailor Guardians, all while searching for the lost princess of Luna's Moon Kingdom. Her journey is challenged by Queen Beryl, the ruler of the Dark Kingdom, who seeks to acquire the Silver Crystal's power. In addition to managing school, family, and relationships, Sailor Moon and her fellow Sailor Guardians band together to stop Queen Beryl's malevolent plans and save the day.
