Following his triumph over personal obstacles, Daigo Shigeno remains committed to baseball and now serves as the captain of the baseball squad at Fuurin Private Academy Middle School. Alongside childhood friend Mutsuko Sakura, Daigo strives to lead the team to success. However, a sudden turn of events leaves Fuurin's baseball team with just six members: Daigo, Mutsuko, Yayoi Sawa, Tao Sagara, Seira Kandori, and Hiromu Tanba. With a predominantly female squad and a shortage of experience, the team struggles to foster unity and trust among new recruits Akira Nishina, Anita Kabashima, and Chisato Fujii. Daigo faces various challenges, including a lack of proper coaching and problematic members, as he endeavors to unify the squad in time for their first tournament appearance.
