Taiju Ooki spent five years concealing his love for Yuzuriha Ogawa while he was in high school. But just as he was about to confess his feelings, a strange green light enveloped the Earth, petrifying all of humanity. Thousands of years passed before Taiju awoke in a world overrun by nature, with only stone statues of people left behind. Thankfully, Taiju stumbled upon his friend Senkuu, who had been awake for a few months and was working on a plan to revive civilization through science. With Taiju's strength and Senkuu's intellect, they discovered a way to bring back the petrified. However, they faced resistance from other survivors who disagreed with Senkuu's methods, and the mystery behind the petrification still remained unsolved.
