Four high school girls in uniform silently march across a desolate terrain as time travelers, catapulted 6000 years into the future from a reality where they lived the same monotonous day over and over, all in an effort to prevent human annihilation. They had mastered the art of time travel in school and passed the screening process, but now find themselves adrift without purpose or direction. They cling to their pipsqueak mobile phone, the only reminder of their past, even though it no longer works due to the lack of network connectivity. As they wander, they notice peculiar birds flapping their wings in the sky and a strangely colored river flowing away in the distance. Eventually, one of them discovers an unkempt bungalow with a name etched on the gate that triggers a sense of déjà vu.
