Kou, a teenager, ventured into the slums in search of his older brother Takumi, who had fled several years prior. Upon their reunion, Kou learned that Takumi had taken the helm at the Mikuni Detective Agency. Although Kou desired to convince Takumi to return home, he hesitated to do so himself. As a solution, he began assisting at the agency handling various tasks.
