The story began at Kaminoyama High School where five best friends, namely Aoi Miyamori, Ema Yasuhara, Midori Imai, Shizuka Sakaki, and Misa Toudou, found a mutual interest in anime and established an animation club. Their first amateur anime was showcased during the culture festival, and thereafter, they made a vow to pursue careers in the animation industry and work together to create their own mainstream show. Fast forward two and a half years later, Aoi and Ema have landed coveted jobs at the renowned Musashino Animation production company. However, Shizuka, Misa, and Midori are finding it challenging to achieve their dream careers. Shizuka is grappling with feeling unrecognised as a capable voice actor, Misa has a secure but unsatisfying job designing 3D models for a car company, and Midori is a university student with a passion for pursuing her dream as a story writer. The five friends will face obstacles along the path to success, but through perseverance and a touch of unconventional creativity, they will learn that dreams can still be realised.
