During the height of the Cold War in 1983, humanity was embroiled in a deadly conflict with unknown and lethal aliens known as "BETA". To combat these invaders, soldiers relied on advanced combat suits called Tactical Surface Fighters (TSF). Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the frontlines were gradually being pushed back towards the few remaining cities. This story follows the journey of Second Lieutenant Theodor Eberbach and his team within the 666th TSF squadron, which was led by the indomitable Captain Irisdina Bernhard. This squadron had perfected the art of counterassaults against the laser-class BETA; however, their strength was tested when a novice, Katia Waldheim, joined their ranks. The new addition, brimming with infectious optimism, caught the attention of the East Germany secret police, Stasi, and the ensemble found themselves dealing with more foes than just the alien enemies they used to fight.
