In Tokyo, two young women with the same name leave their hometowns behind to start over. Nana Komatsu dreams of finding true love while Nana Osaki strives to make a name for herself in the music industry. Komatsu's romantic naivety leads her to follow her boyfriend, Shouji Endo, to Tokyo, while Osaki is a solitary punk singer whose heart was broken by her bandmate, Ren Honjou. Despite the setbacks, Osaki perseveres and pursues her dream of becoming a successful artist in Tokyo. Fate brings the two Nanas back together in Tokyo, where they end up living together and supporting each other's struggles. Through their close bond, they work tirelessly towards achieving their respective dreams.
