The year is 220X, and the world has advanced through radio-wave technology with the Wave Road connecting everyone. Amidst this backdrop, we are introduced to Subaru Hoshikawa, a young student still struggling to cope with his father's death in a space-related incident. Enter War-Rock, an extraterrestrial made of radio-waves from an FM planet, who possesses information about Subaru's father. However, several other alien entities are on a mission to capture War-Rock. In an unexpected twist, the two form a bond and become the superhero Rockman, adept at traversing the Wave Road, battling radio-wave viruses, and stopping hostile FMs from posing a threat to Earth.
