SUMMARY
Aoi Tsubaki has had the gift of seeing spirits from the Hidden Realm ever since she was abandoned by her mother as a child. Her grandfather, Shirou Tsubaki, shared the same gift and taught her how to coexist with the ayakashi peacefully. But when her grandfather suddenly passed away, Aoi must continue her college education with only her culinary expertise as a means of defending herself against the flesh-eating creatures. Aoi always ensures that she feeds the hungry ayakashi she comes across, hoping they won't turn to her or other humans as a meal. One day, Aoi meets an enigmatic ayakashi who she gives her lunch to, and he transports her to the Hidden Realm. The ayakashi reveals himself as Oodanna, an ogre-god who operates a renowned inn called the "Master Innkeeper." Aoi soon finds out that she was used as collateral for her grandfather's 100 million yen debt and must pay it off by marrying Oodanna. However, Aoi refuses to accept this and decides to take matters into her own hands. She promises to open an eatery at Oodanna's inn to pay off the debt herself. With her cooking skills, Aoi embarks on a journey to change the lives of the ayakashi and make a difference in their world in Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi.
