However, Ruby, a white Japanese Hare whose magic was not always trustworthy, was assigned the responsibility of locating her partner in the Human World. By mistake, Ruby ends up in the Human World after using a magic card and happens to meet Akari Sakura, who is initially unable to comprehend her. Ruby eventually ingests a magical candy that enables her to speak human language, allowing her to learn about Akari's struggles and express regret for any inconvenience caused. Moreover, Akari receives a Jewel Charm on her hand, identifying her as Ruby's partner. Akari finds herself competing in the Jewel Star Grand Prix, with the prospect of winning any desired wish.
