Within the Halo universe, the Halo Legends anthology comprises seven distinct stories produced by separate studios. The first story, The Babysitter, depicts the mission of a group of Helljumpers, the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, as they attempt to carry out an assassination deep within enemy territory. The Duel tells the story of an ancient Arbiter who defied the Covenant religion and now must face the consequences of his actions. In The Package, Master Chief and a team of Spartans are given the task of infiltrating a Covenant flagship to capture a coveted "package" in a covert operation. Origins delves into Master Chief and Cortana's memories, chronicling the rise of humanity, the defeat of the Flood, the fall of the Forerunners, and the most critical moments of the Human-Covenant War. Homecoming centers on Spartan Daisy, her experience with the SPARTAN-II program, and her efforts to evacuate UNSC soldiers under siege from the Covenant. Prototype is presented through the eyes of Marine Sergeant Ghost, who is eager to atone for past errors and fights with all his power to obtain it. Lastly, Odd One Out is a non-canon, amusing parody of Halo featuring Spartan 1337, who is beset by a long series of bad luck.
