Uro Yamada is the protagonist of the tale, alongside Karon, a girl of 17 years of age. Both are part of the "Hero Retirement and Reintegration Support Group," which is responsible for bringing heroes from other worlds back to Earth and assisting them in adjusting to everyday life. Karon, who was formerly a hero herself, collaborates with Uro in addressing cases while residing with him. Uro's attempts to incorporate normal people's behavior into Karon are repeatedly thwarted by her hero-like conduct.
