Duel Masters is a world comprising of five great civilizations and skilled duelists known as Kaijudo masters, who make the abstract worlds a reality through a card game. Shobu Kirifuda, the top player in his local playground, dreams of becoming a world-class master like his father, and his journey to conquer the world begins with winning a local tournament. However, his plans are thwarted when he is defeated by Knight, the best Kaijudo master in the world. Yet, Shobu recalls his father's wisdom and decides to persevere on the path to becoming a duelist who can appreciate the game for what it truly is. His journey to success begins, and as they say, the journey is more vital than the destination!
