A mysterious intruder has broken into Mayuri Kurotsuchi's laboratory in the Seireitei, resulting in Rukia's kidnapping and a noticeable weakening within her. Meanwhile, in the World of the Living, Ichigo and Kon are shaken by an abnormal occurrence, prompting them to seek Kisuke Urahara's guidance. Upon learning of the devastation in Seireitei, Ichigo and Kon travel to the Soul Society, but face Soul Reapers who have no memory of them or Rukia. To save her and avoid a permanent separation, Ichigo must uncover the truth behind Rukia's abduction.
