Before Ren Mihashi entered high school baseball in the summer, a different story was unraveling at Musashino High. Naoto Kaguyama, who is small in stature, feels uneasy about Motoki Haruna, a new pitcher who is dedicated to intense training. Worried that Haruna might become the star pitcher instead of him, Kaguyama tries to understand why Haruna joined their average school and comes up with strategies to elevate their team's performance to match Haruna's skill level.
