Making the most of their summer break, the musicians attend a camp run by their advisor Noboru Taki and his musician friends. Kumiko Oumae and her comrades remain unwavering in their determination to clinch gold at the Kansai, but their spirits are dampened when an ex-band member expresses the desire to rejoin, stirring up painful recollections for the second-year players. Meanwhile, Kumiko discovers unexpected details about Taki-sensei's past and the driving force behind his quest for victory. Winning a spot at the nationals will demand extraordinary effort, and the students' unwavering allegiance to the band will be tested.
