Aida Yurume, a self-proclaimed ronin student, migrated to Tokyo with the intention of improving her skills for the upcoming university entrance exam. However, once she arrived, she quickly realized that her high hopes for the grandeur of the city were nothing more than a fanciful dream. Aida found herself dwelling in a dingy and unclean area along with Kawano Sae, a seasoned and disciplined ronin, Tanaka Kumi, an initially naive girl, and Matsukishi, a boy who appeared much older than his actual age. Despite the unremarkable setting, the group managed to establish a resolute routine of unpretentious studying and planning for their impending future.
