As Akane Kikuchi makes her way to the entrance ceremony at Sainotama Girls' High School, her thoughts turn to her childhood dream of becoming a manga artist and the lack of progress she's made towards achieving it. Upon arriving, she's pleasantly surprised to discover that she's been placed in the same class as her two best friends: Shiori Saginomiya, who is known for her deadpan behavior, and Nozomu Tanaka, who is overly hyper and quirky. However, Tanaka soon realizes that attending an all-girls school won't help her achieve her goal of being popular with boys and finding a boyfriend. Determined to find a solution, Tanaka starts asking her classmates to introduce her to their male friends. But to her surprise, her classmates are far from ordinary. Each one is uniquely weird, with Tanaka giving them fitting nicknames to highlight their quirks, including a grandmother-loving loli, a reclusive chuunibyou, and an overly analytical stalker. These girls begin their high school days with a simple question, "Hey, wanna hear something amazing?" and spend their time in wasteful pursuits.
