In the aftermath of the CCG's attack on Anteiku, Tokyo has undergone a dramatic transformation. Despite ghouls becoming more cautious, they still pose a threat to society - especially the terrorist group known as Aogiri Tree who recognize the CCG as a growing danger to their survival. To combat this issue, the Quinx Squad has been established as a specialized unit. Comprised of humans with ghoul abilities due to having undergone medical procedures, they undertake operations to eradicate the ghoul population. Led by Haise Sasaki, a half-ghoul and half-human who was trained by the renowned Kishou Arima, the Quinx Squad has the potential to eliminate Tokyo's non-human inhabitants. However, there is more to Sasaki than his leadership of the Quinx Squad. Unknown memories begin to surface, causing him to question his past and true identity.
