The anime centers around a middle school's art club, comprising Subaru Uchimaki, a face-drawing prodigy obsessed with creating an ideal, two-dimensional wife; Colette, a wealthy mischief-maker who enjoys creating havoc; and the club's leader, who dozes off during meetings and hoards sleep aids. Mizuki Usami is the sole member interested in engaging in genuine art club pursuits, but faces constant challenges in realizing her aspirations.
