As Junichi Nagase heads to school, he valiantly rescues a girl in peril. However, a misinterpretation prompts him to impulsively smooch the young lady, leaving her appalled and irate. Junichi can't fathom why she would screech at him to "just die!" It transpires that the young lady is Yuuhi Katagiri, a fresh arrival who, much to Junichi and his sibling's astonishment, has been selected by their dad to be Junichi's spouse-to-be. Yuuhi is revolted by the prospect of marrying "that lecherous cretin," thus initiating Junichi's comedic high school journey with his temperamental fiancée.
