In the 21st century, humanity endeavored to colonize Mars using algae and cockroaches, which were capable of withstanding the planet's harsh environment and were supposed to terraform it. However, no one predicted that these species would evolve a remarkable adaptability. Fast forward to the 26th century, a deadly virus known as the Alien Engine Virus has emerged on Earth, and it is believed that the only cure for it can be found on Mars. Sadly, the present-day Mars is infested with incredibly powerful and intelligent cockroaches, referred to as "Terraformars" that have mutated from those initially sent to the planet. To locate the origin of the virus and find a cure for humanity, the Annex I team, consisting of 100 genetically enhanced men and women imbued with characteristics of other dominant earth creatures, has been dispatched to Mars. They are unprepared for the fight for survival ahead of them.
