Rintarou shattered a prized Japanese maple leaf fossil belonging to his father on a summer day, leaving him wracked with guilt and unable to confess. His search for fossils by the riverbank leads him to a meeting with Toshi, and the beginning of their adventurous days. The graduate project of Touko Yatabe at Musashino Art University resulted in the creation of this movie.
