This year, they have the exciting opportunity to take control of the creative direction, without guidance from the Kao Council mentors. Eager to collaborate, the students work on a project together and look forward to the opening ceremony, which will also reveal the candidates for the next Kao Council. Unexpectedly, the Kao Council selects Team Hiiragi for the opening ceremony performance, leaving the rest of the students excluded from the collaboration. Frustrated by this decision, Hoshitani and his friends become outraged and the tension between the students and the Kao Council deepens.
