In response, aerial combat mages called wizards have surfaced to battle the danger using their magical abilities. Kanata Age (also known as Eiji) was once a celebrated member and elite "Black Master Swordsman" on the S128 special team until he was deemed a traitor. Now residing on the floating wizard academy city of "Misutogan," Kanata is tasked with coaching the struggling E601 team, which has lost 10 consecutive times. His pupils are Misora Whitale, Lecty Eisenach, and Rico Flamel, three girls who possess unique quirks.
