.... How TF did this get greenlit for production? It's so far removed from the original series in terms of art style, animation quality, story line, character actions, dialogue, voice acting, basically every single aspect that makes an Anime and Anime has been desecrated by this show. The original series didn't have particular good animation, or an amazing art style, or an amazing story, but it did what it meant to do well, it was an easy to watch Trashy Isekai/Op-Protag/Pseudo-Harem/Power Fantasy. This isn't quite as bad as Gibiate was, (seriously if you've never seen Gibiate go watch it, imo worst anime ever made, I'm talking the trainwreck of all trainwrecks.) But this might sincerely be in the running for the first 'sequel' or 'soft reboot' in the history of anime. If anyone can think of a worse 2nd season of something worse I'd love to hear it.

Like yeah it's great that you helped out by destroying the death knight but considering you're literally flying around in a god damn mecha suit with a machine gun maybe you could spend 5 minutes destroying the 100's of thousands in that undead horde before going rather than giving some bs salute and leaving all the townsfolk, soldiers and fellow adventurer's to their deaths.

God this show is good. The dialogue is way funnier than anyone is expecting, MC is so much fun, side characters are all fun, and the storyline does a great job of taking absurd elements and making us care about them. Genuine a Top 3 anime of the season for me.
