At the age of 10, Poemi Watanabe, also known as Kobayashi, dreams of becoming a renowned voice actress. Nevertheless, her academic performance is subpar and her voice acting skills are less than impressive. However, following the sudden death of her parents at the hands of an enigmatic extraterrestrial who creates chaos throughout Tokyo, Poemi takes action. She seizes a chatty fish, converts it into a wand, and transforms herself into Puni Puni Poemi - a magical girl determined to rescue the city.
