Shinichi is an introverted otaku filled with extensive knowledge of anime, manga, and video games, who longs to break free from his solitary lifestyle by landing a job. However, fate has other plans when he is taken captive and transported to Eldant Empire, a mystical world inhabited by elves, dwarves, and dragons. The Japan government charges him with an unusual mission to act as an "Otaku Missionary," and promote otaku culture in this unknown land. Determined to succeed in his endeavor, Shinichi begins his journey with the assistance of the Japanese administration and two companions: the half-elf maid, Myucel, and Princess Petralka of Eldant. Together, they take on challenges such as politics, social hierarchy, and biases to bring otaku culture to the heart of this sacred land.
