At the outset of the tale, we meet Momoko, a stunningly skilled swordswoman, who is a reimagination of the legendary Momotarou from Japanese folklore. What sets Momoko apart is that she was born inside a peach (momo in Japanese), and shares the peach with her constant sidekicks, Inugami, Sarugami, and Kijigami, gods in the form of a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant respectively. In their serene haven, they live a tranquil life, until their world is rocked by the arrival of an army of demons, their king leading the charge. These evil beings steal the vital treasure that safeguards Momoko's homeland. To retrieve the treasure and save her people, Momoko, accompanied by her trio of trusted companions, sets off on a perilous and grand adventure.
