On top of this, her lack of coordination further adds to her struggles. Adding to her troubles, Koyomi crosses paths with Yumiko, who is being targeted by a vengeful magician. However, Koyomi's luck takes a turn for the better when she is mentored by Misa Anehara, a skilled mage who teaches her how to dismantle spells through code sequences. Though Koyomi's aptitude only allows her to summon washbasins to fall from the sky, she is determined to perfect her craft. She understands that if magic were effortless, it would hold no value at all.
