In the prologue of Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury, we find ourselves at Fólkvangr, an asteroid front where the Vanadis Institute's lab is conducting operating tests on the Gundam Lfrith. Despite the council's conditions, the Lfrith still falls short and test pilot Elnora Samaya is becoming restless. Meanwhile, on the very same day, her daughter is joyfully celebrating her fourth birthday. It's worth mentioning that this series premiered at the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -LINK THE UNIVERSE-" event in July prior to airing on TV in October.
