The Disas, a cruel species from another dimension, appeared on Earth three years ago, destroying everything they could find. As conventional weapons proved useless, humanity's only hope rested on humans who became magical girls by forming an alliance with the Spirit Realm, who had followed the Disas to Earth. After a grueling conflict, the group of magical girls emerged triumphant, with the survivors known as the "Magical Five." After their victory over the Disas, the Magical Five disbands. Kurumi Mugen, Mia Cyrus, Tamara Volkova, and Lau Peipei go on to serve in separate military branches, while their leader, Asuka Ootorii, decides to retire and become a high school student. However, her peace is short-lived as it appears that there were survivors on the enemy's side. As magic can only be fought with magic, Asuka is drawn back into battle as an even more significant threat looms on the horizon.
