Despite being in her third year of school, Rikka still suffers from "chuunibyou" syndrome. As spring break approaches, and with university entrance exams looming on the horizon, Yuuta and Rikka continue spending time together. But everything changes when Rikka's sister Touka reveals that she's moving to Italy for work and plans to take Rikka with her, encouraging them to move as a family. Although Yuuta understands Touka's reasoning, he fears that he and Rikka will be separated. In response, Shinka and their friends suggest that Yuuta and Rikka should run away, setting the stage for their escape drama where they travel throughout Japan together.
