The Chaos Pearl yields two components, the Spirit Pearl and the Demon Orb. In order to quell their potency, the Lord of Heaven dispatches the Spirit Pearl to Earth to inhabit Li Jing's third son, Ne Zha, while the Demon Orb is slated for annihilation via lightning. Nonetheless, the Dragon King engineers a plot to purloin the Spirit Pearl for his own child, resulting in Ne Zha's reincarnation coupled with the Demon Orb. Defying an inability to expunge the malign influence of the Demon Orb, Ne Zha is nurtured under the assumption that he will mature into a formidable demon-slayer, as ordained by the Spirit Pearl. Tussling amidst his unruly disposition, Ne Zha faces the dilemma of choosing to embrace his wicked destiny or rebelling against it to affirm his worthiness of the destiny his parents prophesied.
