Due to his meridians, Qin Yu cannot practice internal arts and is forced to live in isolation with his Grandfather Lian. Trying to lift his spirits, Lian gifts Qin Yu a unique bird named Xiao Hei. With a desire to gain his father's approval, Qin Yu embarks on a journey of self-cultivation. Faced with physical limitations, he trains under the strict guidance of Zhao Yunxing to excel in external arts. While taking a break from his training, Qin Yu stumbles upon a red crystal which unexpectedly merges with his body, granting him extraordinary abilities.
