Following a thrilling and significant cultural festival, Shouko Komi persists in her pursuit of developing a social circle consisting of one hundred friends, aided by her companion and fellow pupil Hitohito Tadano. With the onset of winter, the class welcomes a new member, Makoto Katai, who is often perceived as a troublemaker and has been absent since the school's initial week. Despite his intimidating exterior, Katai struggles with communication and simply wishes to establish a connection with his peers. As fresh bonds blossom and existing ones deepen, Komi and Tadano's association undergoes a transformation, though not necessarily a negative one.
