At 35 years old, Chisato Takatsukasa could easily be mistaken for a young adult, thanks to his youthful appearance. He is an author heavily influenced by his idol, the elusive and best-selling mystery writer, Saki Shunka. However, Chisato's protective streak is in full force when it comes to his son, Riju, who he is convinced is in constant danger from his peers. This fear has led him to go to great lengths to keep Riju away from his friends. Despite Chisato's efforts, he cannot shake off Riju's persistent friend, Shunsuke Sakaki, who he despises more than anyone else.
