The Himeyuri Alumnae Incorporated Foundation has created a 30-minute film that highlights the heroic story of the Himeyuri. This group of high school nurses demonstrated their courage during the war by serving in the Battle of Okinawa in World War II. The foundation's aim is to educate children on the experiences of the Himeyuri nurses through the powerful medium of film. Many of the nurses lost their lives in service, and the foundation seeks to honor their sacrifice. Additionally, the foundation oversees the Himeyuri Peace Museum in Okinawa.
