Despite Hayate Ayasaki's ceaseless efforts to break free from his string of bad luck, he finds himself ensnared. In addition to his duties as a butler at the grand estate of the Sanzenin family and his studies at Hakuou Academy, he also has to tend to his young mistress, Nagi. However, obstacles abound. Hayate, being someone who unknowingly attracts women, must navigate Nagi's infatuation with him and fend off the advances of both Ayumu Nishizawa and Hinagiku Katsura - once his closest friend and now the devoted president of the student council, respectively.
