SUMMARY
The Yorozuya trio, consisting of Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura, are back and still penniless, but never short of entertainment. In an alternate version of Edo, where the use of swords is strictly prohibited and outer space leaders have infiltrated Japan, the team readily takes on any job to make enough money to survive. Despite their best efforts, Shinpachi and Kagura are still waiting for their overdue payments. Could Gintoki be blowing all of their earnings on pachinko games? One evening, after a night of drunkenness, Gintoki stumbles home only to find a spaceship crash nearby. A critically injured crew member entrusts Gintoki with a peculiar timepiece-shaped device and enlightens him about its immense power. Unfortunately, Gintoki mistakes the device for his alarm clock and destroys it the next day, causing the rest of the world to come to a halt. With Shinpachi and Kagura by his side, they embark on a mission to fix the device, but they soon realize that it won't be an easy task. In the fourth season of Gintama, the audience will be entertained by the skilled use of irony and emotional passages as the Yorozuya team tackles their most perilous dilemmas to date.
