Naota is an emotionally distant sixth grader struggling with the challenges of adolescence. While engaging in playful behavior with his brother's former girlfriend, he is unexpectedly struck by a crazed girl on a motorbike wielding a bass guitar. This girl, who goes by the name of Haruko and claims to be an extraterrestrial, proceeds to take up residence in Naota's home and thrusts him into the midst of a secretive agenda of a large corporation. Adding to the already bizarre situation, Naota's brain now produces massive battling robots.
