Throughout her life, Han Yuxi has been plagued by insecurities about her appearance, enduring constant criticism and mistreatment. Upon discovering her boyfriend's infidelity, she falls into despair and turns to plastic surgery for a remedy. It is at the hospital that she meets Ling Huantao, a plastic surgeon who is obsessed with recreating the features of his wife who is in a coma. While Huantao suggests that Yuxi's life would improve with a new look, she is unsure if changing her exterior would truly bring her the happiness she craves.
