Four episodes of the Di Gi Charat Natsuyasumi Special were aired almost a year after the initial series in America, between August 2 and August 3, 2001. The young American otaku, Rodoyan, made an appearance in this series. The first two episodes, titled "Dejiko in America 1" and "Dejiko in America 2," follow Puchiko on a bus ride where she cannot reach the signal button. The driver, who resembles Abarenbou, keeps driving until they reach America. Dejiko receives an invitation from Rod Young, her big fan, to visit him in the United States and pick up Puchiko. In the third episode, "Depurapyogebo Debut," Dejiko participates in a band contest offering a ten-year supply of her favorite food, nattou, as a prize. However, she struggles to find enough members or instruments for her band. The fourth and final episode, "Isn't Anyone Here-nyo?," is about Dejiko and a group of Gamers on a mountain trip. As night falls, people start disappearing one by one.
