Her obligation is to attend a ball where she would meet the prince of the Tambourine Star country, who is expected to choose his future bride. However, the prince is a no-show, prompting Comet to embark on a journey to Earth to locate him. She has been told to look for starlight in his eyes. Comet quickly becomes fond of the individuals she encounters on Earth. Princess Meteor of the Castanet Star country arrives on Earth as well, searching for the prince. Comet's trusted companion is Rubba Ball, an adorable pup with a star-shaped tail. It is important to note that Comet is not the first visitor to Earth to fall in love with the planet, as a previous individual had done the same and even got married. That individual's pet was a white, bunny-eared cat named Bunny who still roams the forest as a fairy. Comet's wand channels her power from her starry home, and her special necklace is where Rubba Ball emerges from. She can also use this necklace to locate the missing prince.
