Dariel faithfully served the Demon King's army for over 30 years, raised by Granverza of the Four Heavenly Generals. But Bashubaza, Granverza's son, sees Dariel as a source of shame and abruptly dismisses him after assuming his father's position as general due to Dariel's lack of magical abilities. Homeless and jobless, Dariel roams the forests where he comes across Marika, a girl fleeing from a vicious monster. After rescuing her, Marika invites him to her village in gratitude.
