This anime is derived from a radio play from 1999 and is centered on three young women with distinct personalities: Akari, Yuki, and Nozomi. The course of their lives changes abruptly after they attend a concert by the renowned pop star, Reika. Akari, an ardent fan of Reika, is a lively girl with staunch religious beliefs; Yuki, who originated from Hakodate, is an independent soul, while Nozomi hails from a wealthy family in Kobe, granting her a VIP concert ticket. Through an unforeseen twist of fate, Reika's performance inspires the girls to enroll in Akiba music school to chase their dreams of becoming pop idols.
