The protagonist of the story, Konoha Inoue, is a seemingly ordinary high school student in his second year. Though he had faced a traumatic experience two years prior, his life was unremarkable - save for a clandestine talent: he was once a successful writer of romantic works. However, he pledged to never write again after the incident. Nonetheless, Konoha's life takes a turn when the alluring third-year student and president of the literature club, Amano Tooko, urges him to join the club and craft a new piece daily for her - a curious habit of hers being to consume literature.
